We would love to partner with groups and organizations that align with our mission. Please contact if you are interested in partnering.

PLANNING

As our events grow we are in need of board members and volunteers. Visit our Volunteer page to let us know how you want to get involved.

BLAST FROM THE PAST

This time last year we were fully virtual playing games and talking to professionals about mental health, playing Bingo, and how to be better advocates for our child(ren) in the schools.

WHAT OUR GIRLS SAY

The first Summer Book Club meeting went great. It was fun being able to talk with other black girls like me about the character and being able to relate in different ways.

SB 80 Utah Antidiscrimination Act Amendments

If you are familiar with the Crown Act that has been mentioned throughout the Country, you will understand why SB 80 is super important to pass in the 2021 Legislative Session. This bill amends the Utah Antidiscrimination Act to provide protection for immutable traits and hairstyles historically associated with race. For more information on the bill, follow this link https://le.utah.gov/~2021/bills/static/SB0080.html

UPDATE: Unfortunately the bill did not move out out of the Economic Development and Workforce Committee. We thank Senator Kitchen and his team for sponsoring this bill and hope we can revise to join the 2022 Legislative Session.

She's her Space Wings!

Over 3 years ago, Dr. Jeanette Epps was pulled from a NASA mission from what would have been her 1st trip to the Space Station. As of August 2020, she has was reassigned for a 6 month mission on the Space Station to start November 2021. This makes her the first Black woman to LIVE aboard the International Space Station for an extended period of time. We are so happy and excited for Dr. Epps!
