Change the World with Her

Change the World With Her is a career fair that exposes Black children and the community, to different careers. At this event we want to show youth that there is so much possibility when it comes to their career and that there are a variety of people who look like them doing a variety of careers. We welcome children 5 and older to attend this event with their parents. And, we have seen the exchange between parents and representative facilitators build community, and even provide them with networking opportunities!

HBCU Discussion

Our HBCU discussion allows all kids and teens in the community to show that there are other university and college options outside of Utah institutions. We invite a diverse group of HBCU (historically black college and universities) students and alumni to be a part of a panel to answer questions that kids and teens have about pursuing higher education. We understand that HBCUs can be a choice for everyone and want to be able to provide a space where pre-teens and teens have a chance to begin interacting with the topic of colleges and universities.

Volunteer Appreciation

Our Volunteer Appreciation event is a way that we are able to show appreciation for all of our volunteers, parents, and donors. We wouldn’t be able to do this work without our volunteers, so we want them to know how much they mean to us and our community. This is an event that the Curly Me! Team and board members host.
